Now offering Bear Spray Training for just $25 per group! 🐻

Availble only during open hours April - December. A guided tour with one of our staff will make your visit even more memorable but not required in order to visit Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary during open hours (April-December).

This is a general tour available to the public that occur daily. You may be combined with other guests. You’ll learn more about the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, how the species represented at our sanctuary fit in to it, and how each of our animals got here. Tours last up to 90 minutes.

If you would like a tour with just your family or friends, please consider registering for a Private Tour.

Option 1: Tour Only

Guided tours are $43 per group, plus admission for each guest. Groups are limited to 20 people.  For groups larger than 20, or times you don't see are available, please contact education@yellowstonewildlife.org

Option 2: Tour + Animal Encounter or Bear Spray Training 🐻

This experience includes an animal encounter in addition to the guided tour. You will have a unique experience with one of our amphibian ambassador animals: M&M the Tiger Salamander or Scherbatsky the Tiger Salamander! During the encounter, we will bring the animal out of its enclosure to allow you to see it up close while a member of our Education Team teaches about the animal and answers questions. Guests are welcome to take photos with the animal; however, guests are not permitted to touch the animal due to the diseases amphibians can carry or spread and to reduce stress on our beloved animal ambassadors. Respecting the health and well-being of our animals is an important part of our values at Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary. Adding an amphibian encounter to your tour is $25 per group.

Bear spray training will take place with your tour guide, where you will learn how to safely and effectively use bear spray with hands-on practice using inert training cans. Whether you're new to bear country or looking for a refresher, this training will help your group feel prepared and confident outdoors. Be bear aware and stay safe! Adding bear spray training to your tour is $25 per group.
